SOPHIA LAVROV

Sophia Lavrov is a fine artist, decorative painter, and entrepreneur based in San Francisco. Holding a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley, her primary medium has always been paint, though trained in all mediums. In all her work, she leads with an intention to making painting accessible as possible. This vision drives her diverse creative work, which ranges from affordable greeting cards to intimate oil paintings, and to grand-scale public murals.

Her watercolor stationery business, Sophia Lavrov Designs, marks her first professional (and ongoing) creative endeavor, which she has owned and operated since age fifteen. Made with her original watercolor designs and calligraphic style, Sophia sells greeting cards and stickers throughout Northern California in local shops and grocery stores. Shop her collection in person, online, or in her Etsy shop. 

 

Sophia also works alongside clients and designers, racking up a colorful range of projects. Some have included creating custom stationery, commissioned paintings, and murals. Notable projects include transforming hospital shipping containers into beautiful natural scapes for the Santa Rosa Providence Hospital and painting a wine cart for Three Sticks Winery in Sonoma. Currently, Sophia is working for renown decorative painter Caroline Lizarraga, radically transforming home interiors with finishes and murals. Her current work can be viewed in her portfolio. With these varied experiences, Sophia has a well-rounded artist background in retail and design, always with the intention to push the boundaries of painting.
